Sitar Concert

Thanks to the generous support raised through the Fund-A-Need at our Beer, Brats & Bluegrass fundraiser, we’re excited to bring you the first in a series of free concerts at the Senior Center!

Join us for an evening of classical Indian music featuring a trio of acclaimed musicians: Peter van Gelder on sitar, Dana Pandey on tabla, and John WubbenHorst on bansuri, the bamboo flute of India.

Peter van Gelder is one of maestro Ali Akbar Khan's foremost sitar disciples. He has performed worldwide and taught for many years at the Ali Akbar College of Music. Dana Pandey is a longtime disciple of world-renowned tabla maestro Zakir Hussain. John WubbenHorst is an accomplished bansuri player who studied under the great HariPrasad Chaurasia and has toured widely in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Experience the beauty and tradition of classical Indian music while celebrating our community's generosity, which made this free concert series possible!

Space is limited, please reserve your spot by Monday, October 26.
